parenthood

caleb is getting more and more fun. he is awake a lot more and responds to much more as well. it is so fun watching the day by day development.

out of the blue the other day, jun said to me, "i love being a father." when i heard that, i was so touched. i thought about it and it is true. parenthood, as difficult as it is, is truly wonderful. i love being a mom too. what people say about never being able to imagine how much you could love your baby...is so true. the love you feel cannot be put into words. i wonder how many times i hear jun say "i love you" to caleb each day. all i know is, i hear it a lot. i began to think about how much i love caleb when he was sleeping on my shoulder and i loved hearing him breathe! haha...

this then...leads to my next point...

i am dreading going back to work. i was so sad just thinking about leaving caleb when i go back to work in a month. 3 1/2 months just flew by. i actually had tears in my eyes talking about it with jun. but i guess for now, i'll just enjoy the time i do have with him. we can't imagine doing this parenting without each other. we'd be twice as tired as we are now. we've got this teamwork thing going and it's great. we're enjoying it and growing as a couple at the same time.

our blog makes it seem like caleb is an angel and never cries...haha...well, he is an angel...but he does cry. when he cries, he screams! it's so loud and sometimes we can't handle it, but once he calms down, we are back to "aww, you're so cute!"
